Lieutenant General Dato’ Sri Nur Hafis bin Abdul Karim RMAF is the Deputy Chief of Air Force. He was born in Bukit Mertajam, Penang in 1971. He entered the Royal Malaysian Air Force in 1993 after earning his Diploma in Public Administration from MARA University of Technology Malaysia. He is a graduate from the International Test and Pilots School Ltd (ITPS Canada) and a command pilot with more than 2,500 flying hours in the PC7, PC7 Mk II and Hawk 108 / 208 aircraft.
He has been assigned to numerous tactical, command and staff positions and has commanded at the flight, squadron and wing level. He served as Commanding Officer of No 6 Squadron, Kuantan Air Base in 2013. His last assignment was as Air Education and Training Commander.
Lt Gen Dato’ Sri Nur Hafis bin Abdul Karim RMAF was recently conferred with the prestigious Darjah Kebesaran Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang Yang Amat Mulia, Peringkat Pertama, Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang which carries the title Dato' Sri.
